The America’s Resilience 250 Distinguished Service Medal is one of the highest honors of the America’s Resilience 250 Initiative. It recognizes exceptional individuals whose leadership, service, and integrity have strengthened the resilience, unity, and long‑term vitality of the United States.

This national distinction celebrates those who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to civic responsibility, community cohesion, institutional stewardship, and the safeguarding of America’s democratic future.

Purpose of the Award

The Distinguished Service Medal honors individuals whose work has meaningfully contributed to:

• Expanding civic engagement and democratic participation

• Advancing equity and social justice in marginalized communities

• Strengthening community resilience and systems‑level transformation

• Building trust in public institutions and safeguarding democratic norms

Eligibility Criteria

Nominees must demonstrate excellence in at least one of the following domains:

• Civic Leadership & Public Service — advancing democratic participation, community trust, or national unity

• Community Resilience & Social Impact — strengthening local capacity, cohesion, or crisis response

• Institutional Stewardship — improving governance, systems, or public institutions

• Innovation for National Resilience — pioneering solutions that enhance preparedness, equity, or long‑term stability

• Lifetime Service — decades of sustained contribution to the nation’s well‑being

Nominees may come from government, civil society, academia, philanthropy, business, military, or community leadership.
